FANTABULOUS!!

About Me Commuter

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Responsive
  • Attractive
  • Great Components

Cons

  • Noisy Brakes

Best Uses

  • Fast riding
  • Commuting

Comments:

I ride everyday to get around and this bike so far seems perfect for an effertless ride and ON a ride that looks so great! Besides how beautiful the bike is, it rides smoothly and quietly. The gears work well and seem to be very responsive. Tires and wheels are beautiful and the rims give it a hardcore look. It's very light but not afraid to ride over some cracks or potholes on the ride with it because of the huge rims and strong tires. The frame is tough too. The only thing I've noticed about the bike that isn't perfect is the soft grinding sound of the disc brakes whenever you need to slow down. The brakes work great though. This is my first bike with disc brakes so perhaps I just need to get used to that. Other then that the bike is perfect!

A blast to ride. The stock seat pulverized my junk so I switched it out for a nice squishy one.

Bought this bike and fell in love with it the moment I first rode it. Bike is totally solid. Frame is fantastic and very well made. Components are very good and all work very well. Very good tires and wheels standard. I have changed the seat and seatposts on it just to make it extra comfortable riding overy bumps. Also added a computer and this bike now rocks. Love the sleek black look. Highly recommended.

    Comments:

I fell in love with this bike on line and was able to find one at 70% the regular price (no tax) and 10% free add ons. Unfortunately I am having difficulty finding add ons that fit. The rear mounting kick stand didn't work because of the shape of the seat stay. There is only one drop out for rack and fenders which don't quite fit right. Had to return clip on fenders because they didn't fit. With a bit of ingenuity, I know the bike will be fab. Also need a new longer stem and flat pedals. Happy trails.

      Comments:

Just picked up the Base Bad Boy '08 from [...] in PA. I need to loose a few pounds (like 70) and the staff guided me to this MADE IN THE USA bike. Like many I have not had a bicyle since I was a teen, so it was quite interesting to see how things have progressed since the '70's.I was not disapointed in the build quality of this frame. Although the riding position needed improving with a different stem. No problem with the bike, just my physique! Once the stomach is out of the way, all should be fine!Over the month that I have had this bike, I have lost 10 pounds, and it just makes it easy to get out and be challenged with a good solid quick multipurpose bike.I do not believe that I could have found a better bike (or cycle shop). Please think about cannondale. They make nice bikes, reasonably priced, and are one of the few making this price of bike in the USA!!!!!

      Comments:

I looked at hybrid/commuter bikes for months and nothing was as fun to ride as the bad boy. I felt the most totally in control of this bike an it jumps off the line with speed. I'm now doing a 30 mile loop work commute with it and it is performing great- the speed has really shaved a lot of minutes off what my old smalled wheeled specialized could do.
