Custom OPEN U.P.P.E.R.

We at Now get to sell and work on a lot of cool bikes. A LOT. It’s one of the coolest things about working here. But every now and then something particularly unique and special emerges from our shop. One “New Bike Day” photo doesn’t do this bike justice, so we decided to give you all a deeper look into the build process.

The first of many to come, this OPEN U.P.P.E.R. is one of a kind thanks to the artistic sorcery of the folks at Black Magic Paint. OPEN offers this frame in a nude, ready-to-paint option for builds just like this. This bike also takes advantage of OPEN’s unique rear triangle design which allows it to fit two different wheel sizes, 700c and 650b, one for road riding, the other for gravel grinding.

The wheels, as well as the rest of the cockpit, are brought to you by Enve Composites. Shimano takes care of the drivetrain with an Ultegra Di2 group, and all new XTR rotors. To finish things of we went with the timeless look of a Brooks saddle and bar tape.
