When bicycling, hiking or walking, you'll be more comfortable and efficient in Pearl Izumi's versatile X-Alp Seek IV Shoes. These sweet shoes feature running shoe uppers constructed from light, quick-drying and breathable synthetic fabric with full laces for a custom fit. They also boast dual-density EVA outsoles/midsoles with firmer EVA plates under your cleats for pedaling efficiency. Beveled heels facilitate easy walking and their lugged soles grip great on all surfaces.

In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are three configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD. Road shoes feature one, two or even all three of these. Mountain-bike shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you're unsure what bolt pattern your shoes use, please contact us. We're here to help!
This manufacturer's chart helps you check the fit (may show unavailable, and/or not all sizes).

    Comments:

My last clipless system was a Time ZXS with Bontrager silver series carbon shoes. I found the shoes uncomfortable not only on the bike but (due to the inflexibility of the sole and the protruding ZXS cleat system) almost impossible to walk in. The X Alp shoe is comfortable both clipped and off the bike, Good traction, reasonably cool, and a pleasure to walk in with the Speedplay cleats. Recommend this shoe and moreover this shoe and clip[less system wholeheartedly.
