When you think of the perfect mountain bike, what comes to mind? For us, it's the Spark 940. Why you ask? Well, beyond the fact that it is fast, lightweight, and ultra-capable on all sorts of terrain, it's just damned good-lookin'. Short-travel trail bike? "Downcountry" rig? Occasional race bike? Whatever, call it what you want to call it. All we know is that this is one hell of a mountain bike. But the remaining twenty percent requires most of our efforts. For this reason, our choice of the most advanced carbon fibers in the market is followed by intensive use of specific tools, like FEA (finite element analysis) software, to map out the carbon lay-up. With FEA software, we can simulate different forces on a virtual model of the frame and adjust the frame construction accordingly. FEA software enables us to create complete virtual prototypes incorporating all the physical phenomena that exist in real-world environments. With our Evo-Lap technology we model the frame to optimize the surface area, simulate tube structures with different ply orientations, observe the results of using different configurations, and test the stress distribution in different areas of the frame. Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, we’ve optimized the carbon layers in all the parts of our frame. When the parts were bonded together in the first prototypes, the result was a super light and compact frame without sacrificing the stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefitted from our Evo-Lap technology. ADJUSTABLE HEAD ANGLE With the new Spark, you can adjust the head angle by .6 degrees slacker or steeper. This can be done without cutting cables or bleeding brakes. All you must do is disassemble the bar, rotate the headset cups 180 degrees, and reassemble. EASY SHOCK ACCESS Accessing the shock via the bottom bracket area is facilitated through a hatch. This makes it easy to adjust rebound, compression, shock pressure, and for installing or replacing the cable for our TwinLoc Suspension System. PATENTED INTEGRATED SUSPENSION SYSTEM An integrated shock platform allows us to refine suspension characteristics without sacrificing weight. Often, when working with bikes at this level, the concept of marginal gains becomes an ever important one. For the optimal performance of a suspension shock, power transfer must be the most direct possible. What we want to avoid are any inefficient directional movements, in other words, lateral movements (sideways to the direction of travel) as the shock goes through its compression. Having an integrated shock allows us to improve this in several ways. Firstly, the frame construction around the shock and with the trunnion mount can be designed to be much more rigid, reducing movement and fostering more efficient power transfer. We can also add much larger bearings to the seat tube pivot, further reinforcing this area and reducing any unnecessary motion. Our integrated Suspension technology also helps us to engineer frames with a lower shock placement which lowers center of gravity. As a result, the bike benefits from better handling, and a more stable, confidence-inspiring ride for the end user. While these may seem like minor improvements individually, the sum of their parts results in more efficient shock performance. Additionally, the shock is fully protected from any foreign elements. Rainy race? No problem, your shock will continue to perform at its best regardless. REAR AXLE TOOL Our rear axle tool has been a staple on our bikes for years, it is now better than ever. It features a T25, T30, and a 6 Allen key all in one. With these three options, you can adjust all pivot hardware and nearly everything else there is to adjust on the bicycle. SINGLE PIVOT SUSPENSION LAYOUT A full-suspension bike will never have success without, well, good suspension design. From the first time we rode the Spark’s single pivot layout we fell in love. Years later, we still believe that for technical cross-country racing and fast, punchy singletrack it is the best approach. The Spark’s suspension layout has a very specific and proven kinematic and less unsprung mass. Using a flex pivot in the seat stay is an ideal solution for bikes in this travel range. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Occam has our latest, fully internal cable routing, using silicon plugs at the frame entry and exit points and clever conduits linking the front and rear triangle so your cables are fully protected. ASYMMETRICAL DESIGN Instead of using a less-efficient "shock tunnel", the Occam offsets the shock to the left side of the frame, allowing the right-side support to be more central and more efficiently deal with the suspension forces acting on the front triangle. This solution enables us to tune the stiffness of this high-stress area without adding unnecessary weight. THE ASYMMETRIC/OFFSET DESIGN OFFERS UNIQUE ADVANTAGES BEYOND STIFFNESS AND LOW WEIGHT. Avoiding an interrupted seat tube gives more space for dropper posts plus improves access to the shock controls. Additionally, the tidy design leaves room for a water bottle with easy left-side access.

We designed Spearfish Deore to excel in endurance rides like the Arizona Trail, but it's playful enough that you'll choose it for your everyday singletrack sessions, too. The durable 6066-T6 aluminum frame holds up to trail hits and long, tough miles. The progressive XC bike geometry makes Spearfish a capable performer on climbs and technical sections while staying composed on descents. The RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock offers 100 mm of rear travel and our Split Pivot suspension design makes the most of it, with supple bump compliance, predictable braking, and superb traction. Adjustable trail geometry A three-position Maestro flip chip lets riders dial in frame geometry for their riding style and terrain. The high setting adds more ground clearance, a good option for tight, technical terrain. In the low setting, the head tube gets slacker and the bottom bracket drops, ideal for confident handling at higher speeds. The middle position is neutral. In addition, a new headset flip chip adjusts reach so that riders can easily achieve their preferred positioning. Rear wheel options All models come with 29-inch front and rear wheels, but the flip chip lets you opt for a mixed wheel setup including a 27.5 rear. The stock 29-inch rear wheel optimizes stability and roll-over capabilities, while a 27.5 delivers a more agile, snappier feel and more saddle-to-tire clearance in the rear. Some riders favor this “mullet” setup for riding steep, technical terrain.

The trunnion mount shock has a longer stroke (62.5mm compared to 60mm on the previous generation). And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm adds stiffness and lowers overall weight. Adjustable enduro geometry New flip chip technology lets you switch between three settings depending on the terrain. You can select a 63.5, 63.9 or 64.2-degree head angle and corresponding 78.3, 78.7 or 79-degree seat tube angle, resulting in a 35, 30 or 25mm bottom bracket drop (size medium) to fine-tune handling for trail conditions, riding style and rear-wheel size. Rear wheel options Riders can choose either a 29- or 27.5-inch rear wheel, paired with a 29-inch front wheel. The larger 29-inch option improves stability and roll-over capabilities, while the 27.5 option delivers a more agile, snappier feel. It's a quick and easy change to adjust the bike's handling and feel. HIGHLIGHTS The geometry of the ALUXX SL aluminum frameset has been updated to accommodate 29-inch wheels, and you now have the option to run a "mullet" setup with a 27.5 rear wheel. This translates into a short chainstay length, a shorter reach, and geometry that can be adjusted via a three-position flip chip. An updated Maestro suspension system delivers 160mm of rear wheel travel mated to a 170mm fork. And new integrated down tube storage provides convenient carrying capacity for trail riding essentials.
