3T Exploro LTD
$5,699.99
In Cervelo’s heyday, Gerard Vroomen (co-founder) brought aerodynamics to the forefront of road cycling. Years later, Gerard is back at work (this time with 3T and OPEN) making bikes and riders faster. While true aero road bikes remain some of the most stunning examples of design to hit the road, more and more roadies are looking for additional adventure – be that rough roads normally avoided, dirt and gravel road races such as the Dirty Kanza, or challenging local singletrack otherwise limited to mountain bikes. Vroomen’s latest creation offers unprecedented wheel/tire versatility for a wide range of road conditions, in an aerodynamic frameset destined for the fastest rides. We offer this unique frameset in the form of the 3T Exploro Team Ultegra Di2 Complete Bike, ready to be built to your specifications. Following loosely in the footsteps of the OPEN Unbeaten Path U.P., the 3T Exploro features Gravel Plus technology, allowing one frameset to handle (and handle well) 700x28c road tires on Saturday, cross tires on Sunday, and big 650bx2.1? mountain bike or gravel plus tires for after-work laps on the trail. Where the Exploro differs from the Unbeaten Path is its on-road manners, where the 3T really excels. In their words, the Exploro is a mountain bike for roadies. It carves corners, handles out-of-saddle sprints, and offers unmistakable aero profiles for saving those much-needed watts. For those who want a great road bike to do group rides, gran fondos, etc, but also want to break off onto dirt and gravel, the 3T is about as good as it gets. Similar to our Open U.P. Unbeaten Path Ultegra Complete Bike, our 3T Exploro Team Ultegra Di2 Complete Bike offers a beautifully curated mix of components for those who would rather spend their days and nights riding, training, or anything-not-hand-picking parts for their dream bike. To match the sleak, aero profiles of the 3T Exploro, we’ve selected an electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 group to handle shifting and braking (hydraulic Shimano brakes). Already a staple for cyclocross riders everywhere, we’ve chosen HED Ardennes Plus wheels, which work great for 700x28c road tires, up to 700x40c cross tires, and anything in between. Our 3T Exploro Team Ultegra Di2 Complete Bike is offered in one colorway – gloss White with Red accents. Whether you’re heading to Salt Lake City, or prefer we ship your new 3T Exploro bike to you, we’ll do a full, professional bike build, dialing in shifting and braking, truing wheels, etc. And although this is a “stock bike,” we are more than happy to discuss variations of this build (note actual bike may vary slightly from images. Please refer to tech specs listed below). If you’re unsure about sizing, give us a call during shop hours at 801.364.0344, or email us at info@contenderbicycles.com to talk through geometry and fit.

Parlee Cycles Chebacco LE Ultegra
$4,899.99
Parlee’s Chebacco LE is at home wherever roads get rough and rides turn into adventures. Experience the Chebacco’s remarkable versatility on gravel roads, paved highway, and cyclocross courses. With disc brakes, 40mm tire clearance, and hidden fender mounts front and rear, this 100% carbon fiber frame lets you expand your riding possibilities while maintaining lightweight performance and Parlee’s signature ride quality. The bottom bracket is a bit lower than traditional Euro’ style cyclocross bikes, and the head tube angle a bit slacker. This gives the Chebacco a smooth, stable ride at speed—especially when you’re pounding through gravel, dirt, or variable road surfaces. The Chebacco dons Shimano’s tried-and-true Ultegra drivetrain, offering the quick, sure shifting and the reliable power and modulation of their disc brakes. Clement’s go-anywhere X’Plor MSO tires generously cushion rough roads while delivering superb traction with low rolling resistance. They’re wrapped around DT Swiss Spline wheels with thru-axles front and rear for responsiveness you’ll notice immediately. The LE models feature Parlee's carbon handlebar, stem, and seatpost for first-class comfort, control, and extra weight savings. You don’t need three different bikes for cyclocross racing, gravel grinding, and road riding. You just need one Parlee.
Open U.P.P.E.R. Frameset
$4,499.99
We custom build OPEN bikes to your specs. Call (651-644-2354) for full build pricing. For simplicity and to stay true to their focus on frames alone, Open Cycle offers their bikes as framesets only. This means that every Open bike you see being ridden is a fully custom build. There are a lot of fancy builds out there for the U.P.P.E.R., but in our experience we’ve found that most riders are just looking for performance and reliability within a reasonable budget. We enjoy walking our customers through every step of the part-selection process, but for cyclists who would rather spend time planning their next ride instead of picking out components, we’ve put together a complete OPEN U.P.P.E.R. build that we would be proud to ride. Introducing our OPEN U.P.P.E.R. Ultegra Bike. Because the U.P.P.E.R. is such a versatile bike that can be ridden on any number of surfaces, we’ve hand selected parts that offer reliable, powerful performance on road, cross, gravel, bike packing, and more. A detailed parts spec is listed below, but for the important stuff, we include a full Shimano Ultegra mechanical or Di2 11 speed group with Shimano hydraulic brakes. The cockpit features lightweight alloy handlebar, stem, and seatpost, from Fizik. For wheels, we’ve gone with two different options, both from Stan’s No Tubes. Stan’s is synonymous with tubeless wheel and tire setups, and their latest offerings combine a great blend of high quality, low-weight, easy setup and minimal maintenance. We’ve selected Stan’s Grail wheels for our 700c setup – they are a proven choice for cyclocross, gravel, or road riding. To accommodate the larger tires on the 650B setup, we’ve selected Stan’s Arch 27.5? mountain bike wheels. They’re still plenty light, but offer additional durability for rougher trails, and their extra width gives knobbies better bite and a smoother ride. Simply tell us what your favorite tires are and we can get an OPEN U.P.P.E.R. build going before your next epic ride. The OPEN U.P.P.E.R. Ultegra Complete Bike is available in four sizes, Small – X-Large (see geometry chart for details). It is available in the color Matte Black. Whether you’re heading to Salt Lake City, or prefer we ship your Open U.P.P.E.R. bike to you, we’ll do a full, professional bike build, dialing in shifting and braking, truing wheels, etc. If you’re unsure about sizing, give us a call or email us at info@contenderbicycles.com to talk through geometry and fit. And although this is a “stock bike,” we are more than happy to discuss variations of this builds.

3T Exploro Team Gravel Bike Frameset
$2,999.99
With aero frame construction becoming common and the gravel category a more legitimate category, it was only a matter of time that this mash-up of speed and dirt became a reality. Italian accessory company 3T went all in with both aerodynamics and dirt to create the Exploro Aero Team frame. The white Team version has a frame weight of 1150g and comes in 3T team white with red logos. 3T did some real testing in the wind tunnel. At speeds around 20 miles an hour there was a seven watt savings. On asphalt sections when you’re rolling at 30 miles per hour 3T claims it will save you 24 watts versus a round tube frame. If you’re lining up at the Belgian Waffle Ride, the Dirty Kanza 200, or that epic all-day gravel adventure, those watts saved are a bonus.
All-City Macho King
$2,699.00
Throughout your life, some bikes will come and some will go, and some will touch your heart and make you want to hold onto them forever. The Macho King is one of those, and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one, you're going to love it. The biggie here is that it's made from Reynolds 853 tubing which is one of the best in the known universe. Nothing holds its value like high-end steel: it's lightweight, will last forever if treated properly and produces the finest ride quality of any material used in the bike world. Twenty years from now this frameset will still be fawned over and valued by bike geeks due to that little Reynolds sticker. It is nice now, and it will be nice forever. You're getting podium-winning cyclocross geometry, and all of the All-City touches you've come to expect: signature dropouts, signature seat collar, custom English threaded bottom bracket shell, reinforcements on the bottle bosses, and front and rear fender mounts. The dropout features a replaceable derailleur hanger (easily available from Wheels Manufacturing, it's a 49) which means that should you have a bent hanger due to mud on the cross course it is easily field serviceable. It also features a 44mm head tube, a Whisky No. 9 thru-axle carbon fork with a tapered steerer tube, and a crisp, high-speed shifting SRAM Rival 1x drivetrain. A Zipp seatpost and stem, Salsa Cowbell handlebars, and an All-City Gonzo saddle provide the finishing kit, ensuring your contact points get the same quality as the rest of the build. Surly Straggler
$1,650.00
To brake or to disc brake? The debate isn't getting any colder and Surly decided it's best to let you choose. Straggler is bred from Surly's revered rim-brake Cross-Check and comes out a lot the same, but also a little different. Frame geometry is pretty close, and you get all the attachment provisions for racks, fenders, and bottle cages that make these bikes something more utilitarian than a standard 'cross racer. Disc brakes are the obvious change though, and the Straggler sports Hayes CX Experts with 160mm rotors front and rear. The athletic character continues with a SRAM Apex 2x10 drivetrain, giving you a useful gear range for any type of riding you can dream up, and continues with 32-hole alloy Alex XD-E Lite rims wrapped in Surly's own super-versatile 700c x 41 Knard rubber. A Salsa Cowbell handlebar is great for riding on mixed terrain, too, giving you a bit more control when it's loose while retaining comfortable positioning for cranking into the wind. Make it your gravel explorer on weekends, your trusty commuter during the week, and go collect all the hand-ups when cyclocross season rolls around. This Straggler's lookin' for a good time and you seem like the type to oblige.
Surly Straggler
$1,650.00
So what is this Straggler anyway? The easy answer is to say that Surly added disc brakes to a Cross-Check and this is close to accurate. People have asked them to make a disc version of their highly versatile Cross-Check for a long time now and almost everything about the two are very similar. Straggler is slightly different, though. The most obvious difference of course is that the Straggler has disc caliper mounts instead of rim brake studs. It'll accept rotors up to 160mm. The rear dropouts are unique, too. They're a partially closed horizontal design that accommodates singlespeed or geared drivetrains. They feature stop screws that thread in from the rear to further secure the wheel and to position the rear wheel for optimal shifting, plus a forward-mounted stop screw on the drive side to keep the wheel from slipping forward under the force of your gargantuan legs. The rear dropouts are spaced 135mm instead of 132.5mm like the Cross-Check simply because there are far more options for disc hubs in this spacing. Straggler shares all of the Cross-Check's braze-ons for fenders, racks and bottle cages. The Straggler's geometry is slightly different, with angles and tube lengths very close but not identical to the Cross-Check, but like the Cross-Check it's ready to take you just about anywhere. It's a day tripper and a weekender. It's a 'rough road' road bike. It's a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing. It's a utilitarian townie. It's a light-duty touring bike. It's an all-weather commuter. And when you get tired of one set up, you can swap parts around and turn it into something else. We think that's pretty neat. - Fender eyelets at the dropouts, front and rear rack bosses and dual water bottle mounts, downtube shifter mounts - 100% Surly proprietary 4130 chromoly tubing. TIG-welded, double-butted main triangle - Forward-exiting horizontal dropouts with adjusters give you singlespeed compatibility and wheelbase adjustability to help you fit the tires and fenders you want to run with that drivetrain you want to run. - Frame is ED Coated for increased life expectancy
Surly Straggler 650b
$1,650.00
650b what? In the old days when randonneuring bikes ruled on long rides over mixed surfaces, the 650b tire size was perfectly suited for moving fast under control. Surly took this concept and applied it to the Straggler, a disc brake-equipped any-road type of bike bred from their revered Cross Check. The slightly smaller wheels accommodate smaller frame sizes and plump tire widths, creating options where few exist in this realm of bike riding. Disc brakes highlight the Straggler 650b story, sporting Hayes CX Experts with 160mm rotors front and rear. The athletic character continues with a SRAM Apex 2x10 drivetrain, giving you a useful gear range for any type of riding you can dream up, and continues with 32-hole alloy Alex Adventurer 2 rims wrapped in Surly's own super-versatile 650b x 41 Knard rubber.
Surly Straggler 650b
$1,650.00
We think by now, most of you get what Straggler is. It's a madly versatile bike that can be used for most types of riding and riding surfaces. Better still is that you now have the option of 650b wheel size. 650b wheels were popular for a long time many years ago on 'Constructeur' style bicycles and we all know how real things were back in the day…650b wheels strike a nice balance between the benefits of both 26" and 700c sizes. The smaller wheel allows smaller riders to fit well on smaller frames, produces a stronger wheel, makes fitting big-ass tires easier and are more agile than their larger counterparts. Straggler has disc caliper mounts instead of rim brake studs. Straggler 650b has braze-ons for fenders, racks and bottle cages. The geometry is slightly different, with angles and tube lengths very close but not identical to the Cross-Check, but like the Cross-Check it's ready to take you just about anywhere. It's a day tripper and a weekender. It's a 'rough road' road bike. It's a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing. It's a utilitarian townie. It's a light-duty touring bike. All-City Macho Man Disc
$1,599.00

The result is a favorite with the cross crowd, trail riders, gravel racers, and commuters. All-City spec'd the Macho Man Disc with proven components that don't shy away from a little mud. The streamlined SRAM Apex 1 drivetrain gets you through the mud, over the barriers, and down the road on your daily commute. Sturdy WTB/Joytech wheels wrapped in 700 x 33mm Clement MXP tires (650b x 41mm Surly Knard for the smaller folks) make short work of on and off-road rides and Promax mechanical disc brakes provide reliable speed control in all types of weather. Finishing touches include rust-fighting ED coating and hidden fender mounts for those less than perfect training rides and trips downtown.
