Bob - Vice President
Bob met Paul in second grade and was his roommate his sophomore year of college. The pair started working together a few years later. After years of racing professionally in the United States and Europe, he retired due to the strict doping policy that was instituted by WADA. He has since dedicated himself to teaching people how to ride and race without getting caught for doping. He is really excited for the new e-bike road bikes available today and will be riding one this summer.
Rich - Store Manager
I love coming to work every day. One of the many reasons we are successful is we have an amazing work family and stellar cycling community. My fellow staff are some of my best friends. We ride together, eat together, drink together and talk together. I couldn't ask for a better group of people. We have the most amazing customers and community of cyclists who love to support our shop! Connecting with people on a personal level, caring about them and their goals is so rewarding. Come on by for a beer and lets chat! See you on the trails.
Mike - Senior Sales
Mike started working at a bike shop while attending college to pay for his first road racing bike. He has raced for almost twenty years and leads group rides. When not working or riding, you can find Mike hunting or fishing or playing with his dog Zeus.
Sam - Sales
Sam (or Bergie, as we like to affectionately call him) is one of our greener employees at Now, but in his two years with us he’s made his mark as our go-to mountain bike expert. Everything ranging from tire pressure to suspension kinematics to wheel size; if you really want to get into the nitty-gritty details, Sam’s the guy to ask. He also helps run our demo fleet and leads some of our mountain bike rides during the summer, including our Shred the Red trip to Cuyuna. When he’s not out ripping his mountain bike you’ll probably find Sam coaching Ultimate Frisbee, carving spoons, or (most likely) fixing the most recent thing he’s broken on his bike.
Ambrose - Senior Technician
Sam Sam - Technician/Pain Cave Mgr
Our resident roadie speedster and KOM crushers spends most of his time around shop eagerly working with and advising clients in both service and sales helping them in their road, gravel and tri pursuits. When he's not nitpicking the aesthetic rules of seasonal bar tape matching or worrying about uneven tan lines, he can be found leading our wide range of weekly summer road rides and coordinating our indoor training studio in the winter. On a few rare occasions he can even be found toeing the line at local road races, gravel events, and nights at the velodrome. Check in on Sam Sam and his bike life via Instagram @whysamsam.
Brett - Technician/Wheel Builder
After servicing neighbors' bikes for a few years, at 16, Brett got a job at a local shop specializing in antique Schwinns. Learning quickly allowed him to advance from assembly, on to repairs, into check-in, and even sales. This early start allowed him to advance into service management, followed by the manufacturing side of the bicycle industry at Hed Cycling Products where he built pro-level wheels used in competition around the world and helped develop the Big Deal line of fat bike wheels. But now he is back to his roots, spending his days happily wrenching with talented individuals at a unique neighborhood shop less than a mile from his home.
